Dear Friends of Groves:
We have many accomplishments to celebrate. We started the new school year with 260 students, a record enrollment, and we had a record enrollment of almost 200 students in this year’s summer program. The Learning Center at Groves Academy hosts six programs including diagnostic testing, tutoring, summer school, career and post-secondary coaching, assistive technology, and speech and language assessments and therapy. We estimate that the six Learning Center services have reached almost 800 students this year and more than 90% are non-Groves students. Finally, we are proud to announce our newly-initiated Institute for Professional Learning. Earlier this year, we hired Katharine Campbell as our external Literacy Director. We have new literacy partnerships with two schools and the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities.
It is a busy and productive year at Groves Academy. We thank you for your generous support. Together, we are making a difference for more than four thousand students who need us this year. I hope we can double, if not triple, these numbers in the near future.
