Groves At A Glance

Founded in 1972, Groves Academy is a non-profit organization that transforms lives through education. We have expertise in literacy, dyslexia, study skills, and teaching the process of learning.

We are the only organization of our kind in Minnesota. Groves consists of three programs: Our School, The Learning Center, and the Institute for Professional Learning.

Groves is the only established independent school in Minnesota for students who have learning disabilities and attention disorders.

The average classroom size at Groves is eight students.

Current enrollment is 285 students.

The staff and teachers at Groves receive ongoing professional development. Almost 70% have advanced degrees.

Groves Academy awards over a million dollars annually in financial aid scholarships. Over 30% of our students receive financial assistance.

Groves Academy impacts the lives of more than 5,000 Minnesota families each year through the school, community education workshops, summer school, outreach services at The Learning Center including diagnostic assessments and speech-language therapy, and school partnerships through the Institute for Professional Learning.
