Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates:

Groves Academy is tracking news and information about the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are monitoring the situation closely as we want to take precautions with our organization to ensure that everyone is safe and healthy. Please check our updates page regularly for new information.

Extracurricular Activities

The enduring success of Groves Academy stems from almost 50 years of experience working with students with learning disabilities and attention disorders. We understand that to be successful, we need to address the intellectual, social, and emotional aspects of learning in all of our students. We recognize that while we need to target a student’s weaknesses, we must also nurture that student’s strengths.

Our extracurricular programs strive to enhance emotional, physical, artistic, and intellectual growth. Opportunities are provided to develop and practice leadership, sportsmanship, fellowship, teamwork, character building, communication skills, competition, and school pride.

Activities and Clubs

Extracurricular activities at our school at Groves Academy provide students a chance to explore interests outside of academics. Most activities are offered on a rotating basis each trimester so students have access to a variety of programming. Activities are offered in the areas of technology/science, games/hobbies, arts/design, sports/wellness, as well as an optional daily study hall.

Athletic Offerings

Athletics at our school at Groves Academy give students opportunities to develop leadership skills, practice good sportsmanship, and discover the importance of teamwork. We are a member of the Eastern Minnesota Athletic Conference (EMAC) and affiliated with the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). There are no formal tryouts and all interested students are eligible to participate.
