Groves Academy sponsors the following activities/clubs for the 2019-2020 school year:

After School Activities Program (ASA)
Online registration for ASA Fall Session will open at 11:00am on Monday, August 12th.
After School Activities (ASA) is held 3:15-4:15 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays for all grade levels. This year ASA will be divided into 3, 11 week sessions (Fall, Winter and Spring) with various activities daily for all grade levels. Families can register for one or multiple days with the option to add on aftercare 4:15-5:30. On Wednesdays (early dismissal) we provide free supervision 1:15-5:30 for those needing coverage. (There will be a separate sign-up sheet for Wednesday’s sent out each month).
**This year we are offering classes in the areas of: Technology/Science, Games/Hobbies, Art/Design, Sports/Wellness, as well as a daily study hall.
Fall Session (11 weeks): 9/3 - 11/22
Winter Session (11 weeks): 12/2 - 2/28
Spring Session (11 weeks): 3/2 - 5/29
Each session offers varying activities each day. Below is a sample of the many offerings over the school year.

Additionally, students who participate in ASA have the option to participate in an After Care program from 4:15pm–5:30pm. Students have the opportunity to play games, use technology, or complete homework assignments.
Drama Club is open to all 9th-12th grade students and provides a fun environment for anyone interested in learning more about theater. As well as developing skills in acting and performance, students learn about communication and social interaction. The theater is equipped with professional digital sound and lighting systems and there are opportunities to work backstage and learn the technical aspects of play production. Two plays are produced during the school year, one in November and another in May. Rehearsals take place two to three times per week for approximately six weeks prior to production date. In addition, certain members in the drama club will have the opportunity to compete in the One-Act Play competition against area schools, which is held in January.
Groves Academy Ski/Snowboard Club (GASS)
Middle and Upper School students can participate in the Groves Academy Ski and Snowboarding Club (GASS). Held on Thursdays after school, mid-December through early March, students travel to local ski areas for the evening including Hyland Ski Area, Welch Village, and Afton Alps.
