Come join USA Gap Year Fair
...for their Minneapolis area fair in St. Louis Park, MN on Wednesday, January 24th from 6:00-8:30 PM for an incredible FREE opportunity to learn about a number of life-changing gap year programs from all around the world!
Scheduled speaker Jane Sarouhan has worked for over 20 years in the field of experiential education.
Jane’s passion for working with young adults became her sole focus, and she began a 15 year career with Global Routes, a leading community service and travel program provider for high school, gap year and college students. In her roles as group instructor and program manager she developed and guided student programs throughout Africa, Asia, and Latin America. As the Director of Global Routes she: hired, trained, and supervised over 100 field and full-time staff; developed protocol for admissions, risk management, and sustainable project development; created custom programs for student and adult groups; and ultimately moved the organization back to the east coast in the spring of 2002.
Now as Vice President of the Center for Interim Programs, the industry’s oldest and leading gap year counseling service, Jane continues to do what she loves most: to support the interests and aspirations of young adults, parents, and fellow professionals as they explore their own exciting next steps in life’s education. She travels the world to meet and vet quality programs and placements, speaks around the country on the topic of the gap year, advises new programs on best practices, and works closely with families to curate the gap year options that will best meet the needs, goals and budget of each courageous gap year student.
