Wilson® Professional Learning Provided by Groves Academy
Groves Academy is proud to be a Wilson Accredited Partner providing Wilson professional learning to educators in Minnesota, the Upper Midwest, and beyond. Wilson training provides teachers with the practical knowledge to guide their students to become better readers and writers.

Wilson Reading System® (WRS) Training
WRS Level I Certification
Groves will start offering the new 4th Edition of Wilson Reading System (WRS) Level 1 Certification starting in August 2018. This certification costs $2,395 and is available through open enrollment anytime after August 1, 2018.
The Institute for Professional Learning at Groves Academy offers the WRS Level 1 Certification through open enrollment throughout the year. Participants will learn how to use multi-sensory teaching strategies and how to implement a Wilson lesson based on the needs of each student. Participants must complete the perquisite WRS Introductory workshop within the past five years in order to enroll.

WRS Introductory Course
The Wilson Reading System 4th Edition is here.
The Wilson Reading System is a highly structured multi-sensory language program based on Orton-Gillingham principles for teaching reading and spelling. This three-day course will provide the hands-on, practical training and guidance needed to effectively begin implementing the Wilson system.
These three-day courses have a $675 fee (which includes course handouts, breakfast, and lunch) and will be offered once for each level during the summer. All courses begin at 8:30 am:
The Institute for Professional Learning at Groves Academy also offers the 4th Edition WRS Introductory Starter Set for $340 which includes all shipping, handling and other costs - similar in price to purchasing directly.
Wilson Fundations makes learning to read fun for students in grades K-3. Designed for the general education classroom to prevent a reading gap, Fundations lays the groundwork for life-long literacy.
These one-day workshops have a $295 fee (which includes workshop handouts, breakfast, and lunch) and will be offered once for each level during the summer. All workshops begin at 8:30 am:

Just Words® Introductory Workshop
Just Words is a highly explicit, multi-sensory decoding and spelling program for students in grades 4–12 and adults who have mild to moderate gaps in their decoding and spelling proficiency but do not require intensive intervention.
This two-day workshop has a $495 fee (which includes workshop handouts, breakfast, and lunch) and will be offered during the summer. This workshop runs from 8:30 am-3 pm:
