Groves Gala

Christie King, president of C King Benefit Auctions, has been a well respected presence in the auction industry for over 30 years. Her passion for helping nonprofit organizations raise funds for their missions is the reason she founded her company. She is one of only 200 professional fundraisers to hold the Benefit Auctioneer Specialist designation through the National Auctioneers Association. Of her many accomplishments, Christie is most proud of being inducted into the National Auctioneers Associations’ Hall of Fame. She also has the distinction of being elected the first female president of both the National Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers Foundation.

Alexis Rogers and Reggie Wilson

Alexis is the noon anchor and community relations manager for Kare11. She is an Edward R. Murrow and multi-Emmy award-winning storyteller. She comes to the Twin Cities from Indianapolis, where she was an Evening Anchor and co-host of a hybrid news and lifestyle show called All Indiana at WISH-TV. She began her broadcasting career as an anchor and reporter at KOMU in Columbia, Missouri. Born and raised in the Chicago area, Alexis is a graduate of the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the National Association of Black Journalists. She is also the founder of Lisa’s Girls, a life skills and leadership community for BIPOC girls and women. Alexis is married to KARE 11 Sports Director Reggie Wilson.

Reggie is the KARE 11 Sports Director. Prior to this he spent covered all things Cincinnati sports. Reggie hails from the St. Louis/Southern Illinois area. Before the Queen City, Reggie worked as a Sports Anchor/Reporter in Dayton, OH. Reggie graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism (M-I-Z), where he met his beautiful wife, Alexis. He’s a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc., and the National Association of Black Journalists.
