Marriott City Center

The goal of the 38th Annual Scholarship Gala is to raise significant funding for scholarships - to support families who need to attend Groves Academy but cannot afford to pay the full cost of tuition.

The gala is Groves Academy’s premiere fundraising event of the year.  Approximately 500 Groves friends and families will join together in celebration of the school and our students on Saturday, April 11 2015.

The evening includes experiences such as punchboards, a wine stop & shop, and a silent auction. Dinner and dessert are served. Guests will hear from our keynote speaker Jonathan Mooney, Groves students, and Head of School John Alexander. The evening will conclude with an exciting Live Auction, a scholarship challenge and live entertainment and dancing by Emerson Avenue.

Tickets go on sale Friday, February 27th! Check back here to register!

Mooney.jpgWe are proud to have Jonathan Mooney speak at our gala this year. Jonathan is founder and president of Project Eye-to-Eye, a mentoring and advocacy non-profit organization for students with learning differences. A few of our Groves students took part in that program at school over the years. Jonathan is also a dyslexic writer and activist who did not learn to read unti lhe was 12 years old. You can find more information on Jonathan and his new book, The Short Bus on his website

DSC_6781_-_Version_2.jpgWe are also happy to have the talents of Emerson Avenue for a repeat performance after dinner. Last year, many people stayed to hear the band and dance along to the tunes. Be sure not to miss another fabulous performance.

Thank you to our generous sponsors! We hope you join them in sponsoring our event. Visit our Sponsor Opportunities page to see how your family or organization can be established as a philanthropic community leader.
