Lynn Giovannelli and Nancy Segreti Join Leadership Team at Groves Academy
New Leadership for Institutional Advancement and The Learning Center

St. Louis Park, Minn. (April 18, 2017): Today, Groves Academy announced that two new leaders are joining the nonprofit educational organization. Lynn Giovannelli is the new Director of Institutional Advancement, leading all fundraising efforts for the three Groves Academy program areas: Our School, The Learning Center, and the Institute for Professional Learning. Nancy Segreti is the organization’s first dedicated director of The Learning Center, which serves students in the community who do not attend the school, but benefit from the expertise of the Groves staff through diagnostic testing, tutoring, assistive technology training, career and post-secondary coaching, summer school, and other services.

“We are pleased to be able to bring exceptional talent like Lynn and Nancy to Groves,” said John Alexander, Executive Director of Groves Academy. “There are thousands of children in the Twin Cities who benefit from our services and it is incumbent upon us to continue strengthening our organization so we can reach and support them, their families, and the community.”

Giovannelli was previously Director of Donor Relations with Youth Frontiers, a Twin Cities-based nonpartisan organization dedicated to building character of young people by collaborating with schools. She is a graduate of Gustavus Adolfus College. Segreti relocated to the Twin Cities from Washington D.C. where she was the Center Director for the Lindamood-Bell Learning Center. She is originally from Edina, Minnesota and a graduate of St. Olaf College.

Our School serves students in grades 1-12 who have average or above average intelligence along with dyslexia, ADHD, or other executive functioning challenges; The Learning Center supports families and schools in the community who benefit from diagnostic testing, tutoring, and other specialized services; the Institute for Professional Learning shares the evidence-based teaching methods from our school to advance literacy instruction with other teachers, schools, and organizations in the community. Groves Academy is the only organization of its kind in Minnesota.
