Groves Academy is an independent school that offers programs for children in grades 1-12. Groves is built on the philosophy that students who learn differently can confidently face their challenges and achieve success when the educational environment addresses their individual needs. Our full-day program specializes in teaching students who have been diagnosed with learning disabilities or attention deficit disorders. Small classes of 8:1 allow for individual and small group instruction in a structured, supportive, personalized environment. Highly trained teachers use methods and materials that address students' academic, emotional and social needs. Although the emphasis is on remediation of academic skills, students also explore their own individual strengths and weaknesses, develop effective learning strategies, and learn self-advocacy skills.

Groves is accepting applications for the 2008-2009 school year. Students will be admitted as space allows, and applications will be put on hold where there is no available space.  Because of our increased building capacity and because many students stay at Groves for just three or four years, we have openings for new students at nearly every grade each year.
