The battery of tests administered is based on the results of a personal interview and the individual’s particular situation and needs. The goals of the test battery are to determine such factors as ability, present level of achievement, strengths and weaknesses, and social/ emotional factors; and to make recommendations that address needs in these areas. The battery of tests may include:
¶ Tests of cognitive ability
¶ Achievement tests
¶ In-depth diagnostic reading assessments
¶ Tests of phonological processing
¶ Tests of language processing
¶ Attention deficit disorder screening
¶ Assessment of social/emotional development
¶ Executive functioning tests
¶ Post-secondary planning
The results of the diagnostic assessment are reviewed at a follow-up conference with parents and the psychologist. Both the follow-up conference and the written report include recommendations. A school/agency follow-up conference is available upon request.
