Tuition/Financial Aid

Groves Academy is committed to maintaining small classes where individual needs of the students are addressed throughout the day.  Tuition for the 2008-09 school year is $18,500 for students in Lower and Middle School and $18,750 for Upper School students.  The tuition includes books and testing. Once a student is accepted and decides to enroll, a reservation deposit of $1,000 is required with the enrollment contract (but may be refunded if adequate financial aid is not awarded).). The balance of the tuition may be paid in either two or ten equal installments.

Groves Academy is also committed to economic diversity within its student body. Financial aid is offered through FAIR (Financial Aid Independent Review, Inc). After a student has been accepted to Groves, a financial aid application is sent to parents along with the enrollment contract. FAIR processes each application, evaluates it for financial need, and makes a recommendation to Groves Academy based on the information provided.

Approximately 31% of Groves Academy families received a partial scholarship in 2007-08. The scholarships were based on FAIR’s recommendation, financial need and available dollars in the Groves Scholarship Fund.

Educational loans are available to qualifying applicants through commercial lending organizations such as www.wellsfargo.com and www.key.com. Tuition and other educational fees may qualify for deduction or credit on Federal or Minnesota income tax forms. Please consult your tax advisor, or go to www.irs.gov for more information.
